Darien, Georgia: DDA Docks

A ceremony was held in November, 2008, to dedicate the newly renovated docks at the Darien Waterfront. A working shrimp boat will soon be a major attraction here, allowing visitors to meet the crew, and learn about life on a commercial fishing boat. This will be a great educational venue, and the first attraction of its kind anywhere.

David Baxley Displays His Scale Model Shrimp Boat

The second part of this educational (and entertaining) project will involve a display that showcases David Baxley's unique, four-foot-long scale model of a shrimp boat with its nets fully extended. It will be placed in a custom-built, ventilated display case on the DDA docks. [Read more]
