Darien Business Featured on the Cover of SOUTHERN LIVING Magazine

Southern Living Magazine Cover Showcases Darien Business A Darien business is featured on the cover of the September 2010 edition of SOUTHERN LIVING Magazine.

As part of a 2-day road trip from Savannah to Jekyll Island, the travel feature highlights Open Gates B & B overlooking Vernon Square in the heart of Darien. Waterfront Wine & Gourmet and The Purple Pickle on Broad Street near the Darien River Bridge are also showcased, as is Reggie Sawyer, owner of the shrimp boat "The Gravedigger" that operates from the publicly-accessible docks behind Skipper's Fish Camp Restaurant on the Darien Waterfront.

Old School Diner in McIntosh County, just off Harris Neck Road near Townsend, is also prominently mentioned in this magazine, which is available on newsstands today.

"We are thrilled to see our businesses in SOUTHERN LIVING," said Darien Mayor John Cox. "This is a real shot-in-the-arm for Darien and McIntosh County's efforts to promote tourism, and we believe a lot of people will be inspired to visit us."
